The FPEA Florida Homeschool Convention is staged at a family friendly resort so that the weekend can be an adventure for the whole family. We even schedule a few events specifically to entertain children and educate teens. It is FPEA policy to let children accompany parents because it is the only way some parents can attend. However, it is not always ideal for your children to accompany you. If your children become a distraction, you may miss some information that could benefit them. For this reason, we encourage you to plan ahead for childcare. We intend for the Convention to serve as many parents as possible by providing excellent vendors and a variety of home-education materials. Our exhibit hall reflects this intent.

Exhibit-Hall Shopping with Children: Again this year, the exhibit hall will have wide aisles to better accommodate carts and strollers, as well as extended hours for your convenience. Children will be allowed into the hall with their parents the entire time. Please note that only registered attendees and their children may enter the exhibit hall (badges will be checked).

Strollers and Shopping Carts: Strollers are permitted in the Exhibit Hall (except double-wides), provided there is a child in the stroller. Shopping carts are permitted in the Exhibit Hall.

Notes About Lectures
If lectures are crowded, children must surrender their chairs to adults. Noisy children must be taken out of lecture rooms; you may return to the lecture as soon as your child quiets down. As an additional courtesy, please make sure to set cell phones and other communication devices in a silent mode.
