The FPEA Florida Homeschool Convention is staged at a family friendly resort so that the weekend can be an adventure for the whole family. We even schedule a few events specifically to entertain children and educate teens. It is FPEA policy to let children accompany parents because it is the only way some parents can attend. However, it is not always ideal for your children to accompany you. If your children become a distraction, you may miss some information that could benefit them. For this reason, we encourage you to plan ahead for childcare. We intend for the Convention to serve as many parents as possible
by providing excellent vendors and a variety of home-education materials. Our exhibit hall reflects this intent.

Exhibit-Hall Shopping with Children: Again this year, the exhibit hall will have wide aisles to better accommodate carts and strollers, as well as extended hours for your convenience. Children will be allowed into the hall with their parents the entire time. Please note that only registered attendees and their children may enter the exhibit hall (badges will be checked).

Strollers and Shopping Carts: Strollers are permitted in the Exhibit Hall (except double-wides), provided there is a child in the stroller. Shopping carts are permitted in the Exhibit Hall.

Notes About Lectures
If lectures are crowded, children must surrender their chairs to adults. Noisy children must be taken out of lecture rooms; you may return to the lecture as soon as your child quiets down. As an additional courtesy, please make sure to
set cell phones and other communication devices in a silent mode.

Worldview 101

Children’s Program for Ages 5-12
Parents are concerned with their children's spiritual and educational needs, but what about the worldview they embrace? Research shows that more than 70 percent of Christian teens walk away from their faith after leaving home. Most children need a worldview overhaul, and the sooner the better!
Achieving the great American dream has become the great American disaster for many American families. Most worldviews are based on assumptions and lies we've been led to believe rather than on the Bible. It is imperative that our children embrace a biblical worldview so that:

    • Their views of God, man, truth, meaning and morality will be consistent with Scripture
    • They can develop habits of holiness
    • Their worldview can carry them through tough times
    • When they leave home, they don't jump ship

Worldview 101, led by Don and Pat Wesolowski, is designed to challenge young children to develop a biblical worldview. Workshops include basic worldview instruction, as well as lessons in logic, public speaking, obedience, honor, truth and media discernment. The fun-filled, action-packed classes with teen teachers will keep your children entertained as they spend their days learning what it means to live out a biblical worldview.

Don and Pat, homeschooling parents of nine, have been organizing and teaching worldview seminars for many years. They have discovered that teenagers make great teachers, so the Wesolowskis’ own children, along with several other teen teachers, do the majority of the skits and instruction in the program.

Registration for the program may be done online while registering for the Convention.
