I have been blessed with the lifestyle of homeschooling for the past 11 years. We have had our ups and downs, implementing a home education design around physical handicaps and winning the battle over dyslexia. I have had the privilege to serve in leadership, teach co-op classes, enjoy field trips and host our homeschool prom, as well as lead a girls’ club, book clubs, mom’s nights and teen groups.
Homeschooling can be scary! It makes you ultimately responsible for what your children learn about the world around them. But no one else can teach your children your values and beliefs like you can! Homeschool groups, co-ops, umbrella schools, tutors and the FPEA give you all the resources and support you need to make your homeschooling a success!
It is my desire to help your family along your homeschooling journey. You may have moments of fear and doubt, but I’ll be there with you to rejoice during all those times of happiness, and trust me — those outweigh the others by a mile! We actively homeschool, so it may take a moment to return calls or e-mails. I will be thrilled to return your call and get to know you!

What a humbling experience to represent the awe-inspiring home educators of District 2. There are many in our District who are qualified to serve in this position, and it is an honor to be asked to do so.
My husband, the most patient person in the world, and I have been married for 15 years. Our 11-year-old son and miracle child was an answer to countless days/months/ years of praying, fasting and searching for God’s will in our lives.
Heavenly Father blessed us early in our calling as parents to know of His desire for us to homeschool. Home education continues as one of the most rewarding yet trying adventures of our existence.
While having held numerous leadership positions in our homeschooling and church communities, most of my volunteer hours came in the form of membership in Rotary International. My tenure in the Tallahassee Northside Rotary Club included spending years on the board of directors as editor, treasurer, international services director, community services director, incoming president, president and past president.
The Singletary family continually prays for homeschoolers throughout Florida. Especially dear to us are those in District 2.

It’s a privilege to be your District 3 Director! I’m looking forward to helping you enjoy the wonderful blessings of homeschooling. Please e-mail or call me with your questions or concerns.
My husband and I began homeschooling in 1999 primarily for academic reasons. Later, we realized the best parts of homeschooling: a close family and flexibility! During my husband’s cancer battle and after his departure, we have continued to love the home education lifestyle! My older two children are homeschool graduates now in college, and I have a son and daughter working at the high school level.
Bringing homeschoolers together is a passion of mine. Before moving to North Florida, I led the Brevard Homeschool Support Group from 1999-2011, and I manage homeschooling websites including NorthFloridaHomeschool.com and HomeschoolChristian.com. I love to work with families on their homeschooling journeys!
My other activities include farming; working with young people in the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps; teaching economics, government and history; and volunteering with the Dale Carnegie Course.
I’m excited to meet each of you and talk about how homeschooling has made a difference to your family!

Hello, everyone in District 4! I look forward to meeting you and learning about what makes homeschooling special to you. My wife and I have three children, all of whom have always been homeschooled. Our children are so far removed from the classroom that upon our attendance at a large church, my son questioned why the kids in Sunday school had to 1) raise their hands, 2) stay in their seats at their desk the whole time and 3) walk in a line leaving the classroom. "Do you want to do school that way?" I asked. "No!" was his quick response. I own a company that has been painting homes for the last 10 years. I am no stranger to self-study, as I am currently in a graduate program at Liberty University Online, studying to be a family therapist. I desire to serve the church and community in rebuilding families. Please feel free to e-mail me. You are welcome to call, but I might be up on a ladder with a brush in one hand and a bucket of paint in another! Nonetheless, I will get back to you promptly. I look forward to hearing from you!

My husband, Bart, and I have been homeschooling for over 13 years. We have four children; Jeremy (31), Stewart (17), Annaray (16), and Ethan (9). Like many of you, we have had health issues, learning disabilities, academic challenges, a new baby, caring for elderly parents, and even a teen in crisis. We have used public schools, private schools, co-ops, tutoring, non-traditional private schools, and “umbrella” schools to meet our family's needs. We have also participated in a variety of ways within the homeschooling community including teaching and leadership. In Florida, the choices within homeschooling are almost as varied and numerous as the families. It is helpful and probably essential to have experienced assistance in discovering the options that meet the needs of each of your children every year.
As the District 6 Director, I am honored to serve homeschooling families and leaders as we navigate those choices and work to insure our continued homeschooling freedoms. I also believe building personal relationships is the best way for all of us to accomplish our goals. Please do not hesitate to contact me and I look forward to sharing your education successes!

My wife, Renee, and I have been blessed with two wonderful daughters ages 10 and 13. We have been homeschooling them for the past nine years. For us, home education was the only option we ever considered. We just could not see ourselves sending our children to someone else to teach them their values. We wanted to make sure that they would grow up with the Christian values we hold true. Homeschooling has also afforded us the ability for my family to travel with me when I travel for business. This has been such a valuable learning experience for our children.
It is truly an honor and a pleasure to serve District 9. I look forward to meeting with each of our groups and helping them in any way I can. I also look forward to helping new homeschooling families traverse the homeschool terrain as they embark on a journey that will leave its imprint on their children and their lives forever. Please feel free to contact me with your questions.

My wife and I have been homeschooling for 11 years and have another 11 to go. We have five children with ages ranging from 16 to 6, have lived in Okeechobee for the past 11 years, and enjoy the rural setting. Our family has benefited tremendously from local homeschool support-group involvement. We have served in leadership roles and continue to enjoy lifelong friendships that stem from group involvement.
The Convention has been a must for the past 11 years — we mark our calendar early and plan all year to attend. I cannot say enough about the importance of the Convention in our homeschool experience.
My heartfelt desire is to help and encourage parents in their personal homeschool journey. Homeschooling is much more than textbooks; it is a lifestyle of learning how to learn, enjoying the process and savoring the results. We are blessed to live in a homeschool-friendly state due to the hard work of previous homeshool families.
It is an honor to be the current District 10 Director. I pray that your homeschool experience be filled with rich, lasting memories as your children grow into the leaders of tomorrow for our families, communities, state and nation.

It is an honor to serve the homeschoolers of District 12. I have experienced many things and learned much since beginning our homeschool journey 11 years ago. It is my passion to support and protect homeschooling in our community and throughout Florida.
Jerry and I have been married for 29 years and have two wonderful sons. Brandon recently graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and Blake is a junior in high school. We began attending the FPEA Florida Homeschool Convention prior to beginning our home education program. With much praying and planning, we began our journey and never looked back. One of the wisest choices we made was joining a support group and would recommend this to every homeschool family. There are many benefits to attending and serving within a local group.
I look forward to meeting and offering you support as you work to raise up a generation that will leave a positive impact on our world.

Having considered myself a homeschooling parent since my oldest child was 18 months old, I have been studying, planning and implementing my homeschool for over 11 years. By God's providence, I was led to the Principle Approach. It concentrates on instructing children to reason and think rather than memorize, to cultivate ideas rather than categorize facts. Critical thinking skills are much lacking today, and I hope to help educate parents on the importance of instilling these skills.
I am married to Greg and am mother to three boys ages 9 to 13, and I have a 21-year-old stepson. My husband and I have our own event planning and decorating business. I guide my boys in developing their business of breeding and selling cockapoo puppies.
In addition, I am a co-op teacher with experience in handwriting, spelling, reading, composition, worldview and art. I also have experience with vision convergence problems and have helped others in identifying this obstacle to learning.
I wish the incredible tools available today for parent-educators would have been around in my childhood. The opportunity for success is greater than ever, and the need has never been more profound. I desire to promote homeschooling as not only viable, but as the preferred option.

Thank you for the privilege of serving as your District 14 Director. When our daughter was born, my husband, Joe, and I never had a question about homeschooling. It came so naturally that even before had heard of it, we were doing it! By the time Elizabeth was 5, we went on our first homeschool field trip. We were hooked! We have been blessed to have a community of homeschool friends for over 10 years now. Through commitment to the goals laid before us, and by using the resources FPEA membership provides, we are well on our way toward the final lap of our homeschool journey. It is my pleasure and honor to serve as your District Director. I would love to meet you and learn about your journey, or help you begin your homeschooling journey. I would love to help you face any questions or “bumps in the road” you may encounter. I am here to serve you by helping protect our freedom to homeschool. Together, this incredible way of preparing our children for their future will continue to grow throughout our district and beyond. Please call upon me!
