The 2012 FPEA Homeschool Convention marks the 25th year of one of the premier homeschool events in the nation. We would love to have you join us on Thursday, May 24, at 7 p.m. for a special celebration of our silver anniversary. It will begin with a reception featuring an amazing array of sweets. However, the evening will get even sweeter with an excellent speaker. Tim Elmore, founder of Growing Leaders, will talk about the importance of raising our children to be leaders.
As the President of Growing Leaders, an organization created to develop emerging leaders, Dr. Tim Elmore and his team are equipping students on hundreds of campuses across the US and overseas to think and act like authentic, servant leaders. Elmore has spoken to more than a quarter of a million students, youth workers faculty and staff on hundreds of campuses in more than 30 countries.

Dr. Elmore has written more than 20 books, including the best-selling Habitudes: Images that Form Leadership Habits and Attitudes, Life Giving Mentors, and Nurturing the Leader Within Your Child, and his latest book Generation iY: Our Last Chance to Save Their Future.
At our special celebration you will hear Tim talk about …
Generation iY: Providing a Compass to Your Student in Today’s Ever Changing World
We are educating the second half of Generation Y, the young people we call, Generation iY, due to the impact of the internet, and iTunes, iPods, iPhones, iPads…and for many of them, life is pretty much about “I.” They are different than their earlier counterparts. This session will provide current research to both diagnose what young people are experiencing today and a prescription to help them navigate their way from childhood to adulthood. Full of imagery and ideas, the session is a crash course on the children born since 1990, providing tools to parents and educators to connect with, and engage your students like never before and equip them to be all God intends for them to be.
Please indicate your desire to attend this special event by entering your reservation here. Attendance at the celebration is free for Convention registrants.
