Convention deadlines, dates, hotel information and more …

We truly are blessed to be able to hold the annual FPEA Homeschool Convention at the AMAZING Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee Florida! Here is what you need to know to plan your stay.

  • Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center is excited to be opening its doors to welcome back the Florida Parent Educators Homeschool Convention!  Our guests will be amongst the first to enjoy all of the resort’s new and exciting additions.
  • The FPEA rate for the 2012 25th Annual Homeschool Convention is $133 (includes the reduced resort fee of $10 per day.)  Please be aware there are additional taxes and a parking fee for each vehicle.
  • You can make your reservation by calling the hotel directly at (407) 586-2000. The FPEA Group Code is A-FP12.
  • You can also make your reservations online at the FPEA Gaylord Palms Reservation Page.
  • Be sure to reserve your room early, as we have always sold out the resort hotel!

Important Facts to Know

In addition to resort information, we wanted to share some additional important dates and information that you need to know.

Online registration for FPEA membership ends April 1st. You will need to allow up to five business days for the processing of your online membership prior to completing your online Convention registration. So please make sure you are a registered member of FPEA by April 1st so that you don’t miss out on the benefits available to you for Convention.

In an effort to streamline the Convention registration process, all registrations will take place online. Please note the substantial price difference for onsite registration, so register early!

Early-Bird Online registration runs through April 15th. Registration fee is $45 for FPEA members and $85 for non-members. It definitely pays to be an FPEA member folks!

Regular Online registration runs April 16th – May 14th. Registration fee is $55 for FPEA members and $95 for non-members.

Onsite registration runs May 24th – 27th. Registration fee is $75 for FPEA members and $115 for non-members.

BEST Expo: Deadline to register is March 1st – Registration fee is $50
FPEA Statewide Graduation Ceremony: Deadline to register is April 1st – Registration fee is $75
Leaders Forum: Deadline for registration is May 1st – Registration fee is $25
Entrepreneurial Track: Deadline for registration is May 1st – Registration fee is $25
Graduation Dinner/Dance: Deadline for registration is  May 1st – Registration fee is $30 per adult, $18 per child ages 6-12, free for 5 and under
Graduation Dance Only: Deadline for registration is May 26th – Registration fee is $13
Graduation Luncheon: Deadline for registration is May 1st – Registration fee is $24 per adult, $16 per child ages 6-12, free for 5 and under
Teen Program: Deadline for registration is May 1st – Registration fee is $35 for both days — this does NOT include lunch
Children’s Program: Deadline for registration is May 1st – Registration fee is $75 for both days, which DOES include lunch.

    Don’t delay! Staying at the hotel makes convention even more awesome. Get a group of friends together for amazing girl time, or make it a family event. A couple of years I even made it a “mom getaway” and had the room all to myself.

    There is nothing quite like the FPEA Convention to get you excited about homeschooling for the next year. The seminars available cover every topic imaginable and are led by experienced, knowledgeable people who are a great encouragement to the rest of us. There is nothing quite like the vendor hall. The saying “kid in a candy store” couldn’t be more apt here. Curriculum, games, organizational tools, and books abound. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity.
