I’m Michelle Ellis, wife to Kevin and Mama to two amazing boys enjoying the journey of Home Education.  Although I hold a current Florida Educator’s License we have always Home Educated,  providing our family with vast and rich opportunities we wouldn’t otherwise have.  Our family’s Mission is to reach into our Community as the best help possible, lessening the load of others in whatever way/s we can.  Our family is very active in our 4-H Program as well as our Homeschool Group, HOPE Homeschoolers.

I have been teaching in an Education setting for over 24 years educating from 2 year olds up to 5th grade – which will bring me into new territory next school year as our boys enter 6th grade (how is that possible?) with a bit of Retail Management thrown in, which still consisted of teaching and training.

Our older son being Gifted with a Missionary’s heart and Reading happens to have TS which coupled by our younger son Gifted in Math and Science affords us the understanding of educating children with different needs that enhances our family’s Educational experiences.

Spring of 2011, our family founded Florida STEP UP for TS as an avenue to fund-raise for the National Tourette Syndrome Association – which is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to public education and dispelling the myths often associated with Tourette Syndrome.  We participate in many other local Community Service Opportunties as able.

I am a fantastic gatherer of information – if I don’t have an answer, I seek one – but further I love to share what I discover, hoping it eases the process for others!  I look forward to partnering with FPEA and our members to better educate all of our children.
