The impending graduation of our oldest form out homeschool has made each day of Spring bitter-sweet for us all. We enjoyed our last “Spring Break” vacation as an intact family by visiting our timeshare in Orlando and visiting Universal Studio’s Harry Potter exhibit. When our oldest started reading, it was the first Harry Potter book that motivated him to tackle larger volumes. Our kids “grew up” with Harry Potter and we thought it fitting to take our crew to Hogwarts and enjoy the ambiance together as a celebration of our journey together. In typical Florida Spring style, it rained all day! We made lemonade out of our lemons by choosing to see it as “real London weather” for our day, making us feel like we had taken a European trip while in our own backyard. Every time I read the books that our family has explored together over the years, from Harry Potter to the Hobbit, I’ll remember our homeschool adventure together with all three kids. After this Spring, we’ll be down to the last two high schoolers and I’m sure we’ll have many more adventures ahead over the next four years. What a blessing home education has been for the Fox Family!
